If you are suffering from fibromyalgia then trust me, I understand that exercising is the last thing on your mind? My patients have informed me that time and time again! The fatigue, fibro fog, deep muscle discomfort, and tender points are on your mind and you can?t even imagine moving and stretching; however , exercise might just be with the doctor ordered! You do not have to go out and start running but as an alternative find out what works for you. You can walk 10 minutes, walk up and back down your stairs, stretch for 15 minutes, swim, yoga, take a tai chi class, whatever. Low-impact exercise plan will keep you fit and in shape as long as you?re sure not to overexert yourself. Even better, moving and stretching can help to cut your fibromyalgia pain as well!

Once more, My opinion is that many of these who are suffering from fibro accept that they?re in too much pain to move and stretch and so as an alternative they want to sit still. This is one of the worst things they could do because they?re really making the pain worse! Exercising is both crucial and necessary for keeping muscles powerful and flexible and helping you to remain (or keep) active in other areas of your life. Even better exercise permits fibro patients bigger control of their own fibromyalgia and can even cut the amount of discomfort felt everyday.

In the past, doctors used to prompt patients to rest and not exercise because they suspected it might basically worsen symptoms but that's not true!
